It’s been quite nippy this winter and it’s only just begun. For those feeling nostalgic about the warm weather we’ve complied a list of amazing places which are not only having great weather but are filled with immense culture and spirit. We also have some winter destinations for those who are keen to ski, snowboard or even see snow for the first time.
1. Greek Islands, Greece
Whether you’re visiting the islands of Santorini, Paros, Rhodes,Los, Mykonis or the capital Athens you definitely will not be disappointed. Many ruins built in Greece are dated back to Before Christ and considered the most disirable places in the World. Greece is a beautiful place to travel whether you’re with your friends, significant other or family – you will be spoilt for choice as to what this beautiful country has to offer.
2. Kauai, Hawaii
Nicknamed as the Garden island of Hawaii for a reason. Surrounding by amazing greenery as well clear blue water’s, what is not to love. Hawaii in general is home to friendly locals and delish local fruit. Kauai specifically is home to Waimea canyon and Nounou trails traversing the Sleeping Giant mountain ridge are major hiking destinations. You may think the area of Kauai is familiar as it has been the backdrop of many major Hollywood Blockbusters. If you’re a lover of adventure and clear blue beaches, Kauai is just for you.
3. Mount Baw Baw, Victoria
This is one for the lovers of Winter whom love to go skiing, rug up near the fire with a good book or just want to experience the snow. Located in Victoria, Mt Baw Baw is a mountain of the Great Dividing Range. Mount Baw Baw Alpine Resort would be the most convenient accommodation on the mountain with major events coming up this winter this will be a great destination for those who want to stay in Victoria.
4. Nadi, Fiji
Not too keen to be on a plane for hours? But still keen to get out of this freezing weather. Nadi Fiji is around 6 hours depending on whether or not you have a stop over. With amazing weather all year round Fiji is definitely a great place to go if your work/school holidays are not so spontaneous. Golf courses and hiking trails are all around the Island as well Nadi being home to the Sri Siva ‘ Subramaniya Swami Hindu Temple, reflecting Fiji’s large Indian population. Ever had the feeling to just need to relax? Fiji is spot on for just that.
5. Marrakesh, Morocco
A former imperial city, Marrakesh is home to mosques, palaces and gardens. Will alleys filled with souks, you will not miss our on an authentic Moroccan souvenir. Marrakesh has been a trading town since the 11th Century there is a lot to discover and be mesmerised by whilst under the hot African sun. Top sites include; Djemaa el-Fna, Jardin Majorelle and Saadian Tombs.
